Days in Dullstrom

At about 8 o’clock in the morning family went to Doolstrom on… 11/2/07 our pretty amazing I’ve still got the date huh? Well any way we went to a really cool art shop. It was called… i create. We made Mosaics. It was really fun. The people that owned the shop were very, very nice. I love, love, loved it. We might go there again with our grandparents. I’m very exited.

I wish everyone were here to see. Also I can tell you exactly what we did…

We ate lunch at a pancake place. (sorry I forgot the name!)
After that we went to the advice or whatever it’s called center.

Then we went to i create.

Then we went the candy shop.
We each got our own peace of candy.

After that we went home.

It was a magnificent day. And as you all should know we at about 8 o’clock in the morning and by the time we got home
it was about 6 o’clock at night.
I just hope that my grandparents like it.

If not…
Oh well!

the Orphanage!

We’ve gone to the orphanage twice now! But the people that went were me, my mom, Mason, Brynley, Sister DeCock and Trust (our guide) My favorite baby was probably Brooklyn or Nkwe (pronounced Nikway) Last week we went to see the younger children ( at least 2-4 years old) Today we saw the tiny just new born babies. They were so, so, cute.

One of the babies reminded me of Lucy our baby. It was Nkwe. A cute fat baby with chubby cheeks. (who of course will all of a sudden grab your finger and start to suck on it!) Oh, and O fed Siabonga! Yes I know your all wondering, who is Siabonga? Well, he’s one of the baby’s folks! And only eight weeks old! Isn’t that cute!!!!

The Book List

So my mom thought it would be a good idea to write all the books I have read here in my Africa Journal. My a. journal is a journal that my mom got us kids for us to write in. so I decided to do just that. I was not surprised at how many books I have read here, after all reading has been one of my bigger entertainment choices. Here is the list of books I’ve read so far:
1. Twilight
2. New Moon
3. Ella Enchanted
4. May Bird
5. The Alchemyst
6. Half Moon Investigations
7. Lunch Money
8. Fable Haven
9. Alice in Wonderland
10.Charlie Bone and the Time Twister
11.I, Coriander
12.Walk Two Moons (a couple of chapters to go!)

I don’t have a favorite out of all these. I feel excited when ever I finish a book because I get to read another!

Halloween fun!

If you like Halloween and sweets you should have come to our Halloween party that was last week. There were sweets donut eating, bobbing for apples, oh and don’t forget decorating cookies! There was trick-or treating from door to door also! (Etc.)

It was all American Halloween fun! But all with either Afrikaaners or Africans. We almost had over 60 children come over to our house!

I was in charge of decorating cookies, Mason was in charge of dead man, and Bryn was in charge of “eating donuts off strings” it was all very fun.

The Incident

Wednesday, October 24, 2007: On this night a big problem occurred. Our friend and driver left the house at about 5:00. One hour later my dad called us. Trust hadn’t made it to the office. This created a bit of uneasiness. “Trust left an hour ago,” Mom said. For about an hour longer uneasiness had a firm grip on us. A few hours later it was confirmed. There had been an incident…

…Gotcha! It turned out that instead of being dead he was at the police headquarters. His friend had rented his truck and, while he was renting it, got a huge fee of 2000 rand. How? Ask my mom I don’t have a clue. Anyway, he was able to prove he wasn’t guilty and didn’t have to spend the night in a jail cell. And they all lived happily ever

Hello Utah!

3 more months till freedom! 3 months till I go to Haily and Read! 3 months till I can see all of my grandparents at once! Utah here I come! (Hope fully I'll be taller than Haily) When we get to Utah I have 3 goals:
1) Teach Read rugby
2) Update everyone on my super heroes(I'm making a book!)
3) make up for all the time I've Been gone!

And they win! (Again)

So the springboks South Africa won the national champion chip of the year 2007! Do you know what that means? Of course! It means that they are the ones who get the BIG shiny
Trophy. You know the thing that people get when they win of course. And you know what? I am know a facially a rugby fan. Yep that is true. Know I’m possibly wearing Masons springbok rugby shirt when we watch rugby. And know I hope to go to my perch and see if there’s any rugby on.
Good day Africa (or any other state!)

In the Photo Booth

Hi, this is Bee, Madi and P (Molly too). We learned about this cool thing on our new computer called "photo booth". We can sit at the computer and take silly pictures of ourselves. Our mom thinks that some of the pictures look pretty weird. Tonight we are playing spy animals (from Porter). We have features like "Dent" which looks like a mirror with a dent in it and "swirl" which looks like you have a swirled up head. The picture on this post uses the feature called "glow". "Comic book" makes it look like you are really in a comic book, with the dots and everything, and "pencil" makes it look like we've been drawn with colored pencils.

It is fun to have a camera on our computer. It looks like a tiny green dot on the top of the computer. Mom says that it can even shoot video, and that if we were good at using it, we'd even be able to send videos back and forth to our friends and family-like instant messages but with video~cool!

Photo booth is cool, we hope to have it on our computer forever

Population of Mason's Head:Going on 200 Comic Characters

Utes and Cougars, you are behind the Mason Times by 3 months! If you are still thinking of Toon Tron or the Animator, you obviously haven't seen me in a long time. Yes, I am still crazy about comics! And yes, I am probably even crazier! I have made up 2 teams and 16 characters! In one of them, the Wild Ones, Reado is now dubbed Grizzly, the half bear super. Haily is Akela, a spidery crime fighter with Twilight, the scampery half mouse (Bryn) at her side. In the other, dubbed the Gods, I am Shockwave, the son of Hercules and Posideon's daughter. Either way you are behind the times and I have to go to bed, Bye!

An Ode To SLC

Hello out there in Utah! Hello Carson and Preston! Hello Haily and Read! Hello Derek and the Bethers! I have been thinking and pondering and thinking about you fellas. (Not to mention my aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas there) I have only four friends here and none (repeat none) are my age! I miss the days when I walked to school and played with my buds! My best friends are my sibs. My few things to do are Internet classes, play rugby with Port, draw, TV, and, of course, blog. I am tired of supers and keyboards. I was happier in Vietnam! Of course watching Habana and Mongomery (two world cup players) is fun, but I only see them about once a week! I WANT SLC!

Tap, tap, tap, tap

One true friend keeps tapping and appearing at our window. Sometimes I wonder why he/she keeps coming back. Its really weird because… I’m wondering if I should tell you because it’s… one sec just checking to see if nobody’s looking. Okay I can tell you but you have to promise not to tell anyone okay? All right its, its, it’s a bird. All right are you happy now that I’ve told you? Good. Now I’m hoping I can write more about our little friend but I have to go.
Bye!

The Big Event

It has arrived. The reason that humans exist is here. With every move that is made effects a country. It is the Rugby World Cup 2007. With the U.S. losing every game they play (not by a long shot though) I have decided to root for the South Africa Springboks. I even have a real jersey from Cape Town. I am now an official rugby-holic. I’m begging my mom and dad to let me join a team. I have tried to watch every game and have only missed two. The Springboks have won every game and the US Eagles trail by ten points every time. Go Boks!

A day at the movies

We went to see Even Almighty with our
Dad on Saturday. It wasn’t much. Just a couple swears and a flood. Not much is it?
Can’t believe we had to watch it. Well there were a couple funny parts. But only a couple. Pretty much the only funny part was… THE DANCE… DUN, DUN, DUN! Yeah. So you doing anything later Bob, No I’m not Billy.

At Lion Park

Today we went to Lion Park. Lion Park is a piece of land solely dedicated to the amazing lions, giraffes, and hyenas. First thing you do if you go there is go to the building, buy tickets, if you’re hungry chow at the restaurant, and go to Cub World to pet cubs and feed the giraffe. This giraffe is named Gambit it is friendly, big eyed, and sand-papery tongued. Now this giraffe had a tongue so long it picked its nose with it. It is like feeding a giraffe with an iguana in its stomach. And yes, I’m serious. After that you take your car and drive through the place I call the Roam Zone. Here is where lions roam free and bite your car at will. (they were sleepy so we got by with no souvenirs) These lions were very majestic. In fact they were so majestic that the place of second favorite animal is now tied. So if you like kind, long tongued giraffes and majestic lions go to Lion Park.

My last bit of Utah gone

Yesterday Jess left. Last night I cried my eyes out. My story would go on and on that is if it weren’t the next day. Now, I thought it would be hard to move to SA. It was not as hard, but it was hard especially at the beginning. But then I noticed "hey, I still have a bit of Utah left. Jess." But now she is gone….Today I looked into her used- to- be room; well, I had the camera in my hand so I took a quick shot. I MISS JESSA!!!!!!!!!
