Field Day

If you like activities, games, relays, races, and more (WAIT! DON'T FORGET POPSICLES!) you should have came to Field Day. On May 9th Bridlewood Elementary had Field Day. An awesome part of the day when everyone quits work and has a lot of fun. My class was the last class to do the stations, so when we did the water station, since it was sooooo hot,

WE GOT TO POUR IT ON OUR HEADS!
It was so much fun. If you were there you would get it. Can't wait to see you all again! It's fun making friends but it's hard not to miss all of you!

Hoping to write some more,
Madi

(p.s. I don't have a picture. Sorry!)

Downing Diamondbacks: My new school

Pizza for lunch, Texan accents everywhere, and a giant painting of a snake in the cafeteria. Put it all together and you have Downing Middle School, my new school. A former air force pilot as a history teacher and a 5 ft., Vietnamese English teacher are just a few of the unique people at my school. My best friend's name is Ross Bone. My other best friend is Tony, a rich orphan who lives with his aunt and uncle, and is the size of a mammoth.(don't tell him I said that, he'd eat me for "cold" lunch.) No one has been able to categorize me yet. I'm friends with the rejects, also known as Ross' group (no, he's not a goth, he's really nice), I've hit the biggest home run in P.E., so I'm sort of a jock, and my favorite hobby is drawing. In other words, I'm a middle school hybrid. But, because of this I'm bringing it all together. Who knows, I may be the first in a new middle-school species!

Birthdays!

I am so exited for my baptism! My W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L grandma sent me a LOVELY letter about when I was just a new baby. She wrote down how cute and fussy I was. She told me what scriptures were available and asked to tell what kind I liked best. Her letter was just about six pages long! Was that nice or what? Besides the letter were two WebKinz ones a pig (sweet and awesome right, right?) the next ones an elephant (Masons begging for it, I don't blame him.) other wise those is a card game, a dress

AND ROLLER BLADES!!!!!!!!!!!!
The next present the most important one, the gift of the holy ghost. It might sound like much of a big deal, but it is to me. You might think, oh, Madis getting the holy ghost, but to me its, I'M GETTING BAPTIZED! Yep and there you have it my way of my baptism. My very special baptism.

Battle of Bed River

One day, Mason the Sage was walking along Bed River when he saw the Princess's Square Boat and assembled his rugby squad." OK," he said," We are going to do some training. Go and attack that Boat!" A large battle ensued and Mason fought with his sword valiantly, Madi hid behind her squad, and Porter th Werewolf, who was "just passing by" added trouble with his own squad. About a half an hour later Porter and Madi's squads were on the ground and Mason was victorious.
Madi= Madi Graham
Mason= Mason Graham
Porter the Werewolf= Porter Graham
To be continued...

PS. I am thinking of making a comic book of these blogs.

The Great Land of Fairy (African) tales

Once upon a time there was a land called the Great Land of Fairy (African) Tales. Here lived John King (Dad), the king of the Wizards, Queen Katie (Mom), Mason the Sage ( Mason Graham), who was the Lord of the great Rugby Stadium, Captain and wing of the Blue Trolls, and who was able to KO a ogre less than 2 seconds, Brynley the Warrior Princess (Brynley Graham), Madi (Madi Graham), her sister and Princess of the Square Table, Porter the Man-Eating Werewolf(Porter Graham), who ate orcs by the pound, was the hooker and captain of the Orcboks, and played rugby, Molly the Yellow Hood (or the hoodlum Molly Yellowhood) (Molly Graham), and Lucy Twinklediaper (Lucy Graham), Molly's right hand screamer. They all lived in perfect chaos (You think we could have harmony with two hoodlums like Molly and Lucy?!) and had plenty of fights, such as the Battle of Couch Hill, located in the land of TV 'Oom.

TO BE CONTINUED...

The Big Bad Pool

Once upon a time, there were two little girls named Molly Yellowhood and Lucy Tinkerdiaper. Molly got into lots of trouble. Lucy just did whatever Molly did. One day, Molly went to the neighboring family's backyard. There they found the Big Bad Pool, that almost swooped them up in a flurry of water, when Sipo, the Super Gardner caught them and took them to their mom, Queen Katie, with the help of Mason the Sage.

PS Yes, they did get in biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trouble

Last days in Africa

6 more day in Africa! I like to say theres one day for every kid. I can't wait to see the faces of my friends and family again! I can't wait to be home again, home again zippety doo. Any ways Brynley wrote a play script and we preformed it during c Christmas dinner. I can't wait to be home safe and sound. (all though it won't really be what you would call our house because all six of us kids are going to be staying at our grandmas house.) I'm saying to our mom HURRY UP with learning to make pup. (a kind of African food.) So good wishes to peeps round about this world. (which is dramaticlly saying we might live on mars.)

Days in Dullstrom

At about 8 o’clock in the morning family went to Doolstrom on… 11/2/07 our pretty amazing I’ve still got the date huh? Well any way we went to a really cool art shop. It was called… i create. We made Mosaics. It was really fun. The people that owned the shop were very, very nice. I love, love, loved it. We might go there again with our grandparents. I’m very exited.

I wish everyone were here to see. Also I can tell you exactly what we did…

We ate lunch at a pancake place. (sorry I forgot the name!)
After that we went to the advice or whatever it’s called center.

Then we went to i create.

Then we went the candy shop.
We each got our own peace of candy.

After that we went home.

It was a magnificent day. And as you all should know we at about 8 o’clock in the morning and by the time we got home
it was about 6 o’clock at night.
I just hope that my grandparents like it.

If not…
Oh well!

the Orphanage!

We’ve gone to the orphanage twice now! But the people that went were me, my mom, Mason, Brynley, Sister DeCock and Trust (our guide) My favorite baby was probably Brooklyn or Nkwe (pronounced Nikway) Last week we went to see the younger children ( at least 2-4 years old) Today we saw the tiny just new born babies. They were so, so, cute.

One of the babies reminded me of Lucy our baby. It was Nkwe. A cute fat baby with chubby cheeks. (who of course will all of a sudden grab your finger and start to suck on it!) Oh, and O fed Siabonga! Yes I know your all wondering, who is Siabonga? Well, he’s one of the baby’s folks! And only eight weeks old! Isn’t that cute!!!!

The Book List

So my mom thought it would be a good idea to write all the books I have read here in my Africa Journal. My a. journal is a journal that my mom got us kids for us to write in. so I decided to do just that. I was not surprised at how many books I have read here, after all reading has been one of my bigger entertainment choices. Here is the list of books I’ve read so far:
1. Twilight
2. New Moon
3. Ella Enchanted
4. May Bird
5. The Alchemyst
6. Half Moon Investigations
7. Lunch Money
8. Fable Haven
9. Alice in Wonderland
10.Charlie Bone and the Time Twister
11.I, Coriander
12.Walk Two Moons (a couple of chapters to go!)

I don’t have a favorite out of all these. I feel excited when ever I finish a book because I get to read another!

Halloween fun!

If you like Halloween and sweets you should have come to our Halloween party that was last week. There were sweets donut eating, bobbing for apples, oh and don’t forget decorating cookies! There was trick-or treating from door to door also! (Etc.)

It was all American Halloween fun! But all with either Afrikaaners or Africans. We almost had over 60 children come over to our house!

I was in charge of decorating cookies, Mason was in charge of dead man, and Bryn was in charge of “eating donuts off strings” it was all very fun.

The Incident

Wednesday, October 24, 2007: On this night a big problem occurred. Our friend and driver left the house at about 5:00. One hour later my dad called us. Trust hadn’t made it to the office. This created a bit of uneasiness. “Trust left an hour ago,” Mom said. For about an hour longer uneasiness had a firm grip on us. A few hours later it was confirmed. There had been an incident…

…Gotcha! It turned out that instead of being dead he was at the police headquarters. His friend had rented his truck and, while he was renting it, got a huge fee of 2000 rand. How? Ask my mom I don’t have a clue. Anyway, he was able to prove he wasn’t guilty and didn’t have to spend the night in a jail cell. And they all lived happily ever

Hello Utah!

3 more months till freedom! 3 months till I go to Haily and Read! 3 months till I can see all of my grandparents at once! Utah here I come! (Hope fully I'll be taller than Haily) When we get to Utah I have 3 goals:
1) Teach Read rugby
2) Update everyone on my super heroes(I'm making a book!)
3) make up for all the time I've Been gone!

And they win! (Again)

So the springboks South Africa won the national champion chip of the year 2007! Do you know what that means? Of course! It means that they are the ones who get the BIG shiny
Trophy. You know the thing that people get when they win of course. And you know what? I am know a facially a rugby fan. Yep that is true. Know I’m possibly wearing Masons springbok rugby shirt when we watch rugby. And know I hope to go to my perch and see if there’s any rugby on.
Good day Africa (or any other state!)

In the Photo Booth

Hi, this is Bee, Madi and P (Molly too). We learned about this cool thing on our new computer called "photo booth". We can sit at the computer and take silly pictures of ourselves. Our mom thinks that some of the pictures look pretty weird. Tonight we are playing spy animals (from Porter). We have features like "Dent" which looks like a mirror with a dent in it and "swirl" which looks like you have a swirled up head. The picture on this post uses the feature called "glow". "Comic book" makes it look like you are really in a comic book, with the dots and everything, and "pencil" makes it look like we've been drawn with colored pencils.

It is fun to have a camera on our computer. It looks like a tiny green dot on the top of the computer. Mom says that it can even shoot video, and that if we were good at using it, we'd even be able to send videos back and forth to our friends and family-like instant messages but with video~cool!

Photo booth is cool, we hope to have it on our computer forever

Population of Mason's Head:Going on 200 Comic Characters

Utes and Cougars, you are behind the Mason Times by 3 months! If you are still thinking of Toon Tron or the Animator, you obviously haven't seen me in a long time. Yes, I am still crazy about comics! And yes, I am probably even crazier! I have made up 2 teams and 16 characters! In one of them, the Wild Ones, Reado is now dubbed Grizzly, the half bear super. Haily is Akela, a spidery crime fighter with Twilight, the scampery half mouse (Bryn) at her side. In the other, dubbed the Gods, I am Shockwave, the son of Hercules and Posideon's daughter. Either way you are behind the times and I have to go to bed, Bye!
